Introduction

Hey guys,  In this post I will be explaining my picks and my league settings.  As I have said above in my blog description, I am in 2 leag...

Top 10 RB

Welcome to my top 10 RB rankings page!  This page will update every 2 weeks or so.

1. Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson is named All Day for a reason, and even though he is 32, turning 33 during the season, I think he still has at least 1-2 good years left in his aging body.  Minnesota is still a huge running offense, so I really see no problem for AP this year.  Another great thing, AP has never scored under 10 TDs in a season.

2. David Johnson

This is a riskier placement of David Johnson, but I really like the fact that he gets so many receptions.  Playing for the Cardinals offense, David Johnson should get plenty of work and receptions.  The part of Johnsons game last year that could be good or bad this year was the fact that he got a few big plays that helped his fantasy output.  This can mean that either he relied on big plays, or he is a threat to get big plays.  Like I said risk/reward player.

3. Lamar Miller

Here is someone I am not worried about on the risk side at all.  He has gotten under 200 touches in his last 2 seasons and still managed to be a top 9 running back in both years.  Lamar Miller moved to a heavy run offense with basically no competition behind him, so he should get around 300 touches this year.  Lamar Miller has a chance to be the top running back in Fantasy Football this year if everything clicks.

4. Todd Gurley

I like Todd Gurley from a skill level standpoint, but I'm still worried about all of the components going against him.  He plays for a team with a rookie QB as their starter, a weak offensive line, and in a tough division where he has to play the Cardinals and Seahawks.  Another bad thing is the receptions he gets, which is most likely going to be under 25 this year.  Take him if you believe in his skill, but if you think the odds are too much against him, look for someone else.

5. Le'Veon Bell

Even though he is suspended the first 3 games, he is just so good.  He would most likely be a top 2 running back when healthy, and if you can grab a running back that's at least semi-decent in a late round then Le'Veon Bell is a good pick for you.  He also plays in a pretty weak division with the Ravens and Browns, so he has some nice defenses.

6. Mark Ingram

Mark Ingram is always undervalued, but this year he got his respect at the #18 overall spot on ESPN rankings.  Mark Ingram should continue his steady consistent pace this year and finish around 200 fantasy points.  He gets a good mix of rushing yards, receiving yards, and TDs.  If Ingram rolls around to you mid 2nd Round, don't be afraid to swipe him.

7. Ezekiel Elliot

Now he would be higher if it weren't for the fact that he was videoed at a marijuana dispensary in Seattle.  This could be huge for Elliot because of the fact that it is banned in the NFL.  They would still have to prove he actually did something with the marijuana to himself, but its not a good sign for Zeke.  He seems like a pretty solid RB through the preseason though, and if healthy he is a top 5 RB.

8. Eddie Lacy

The return of the monster.  I think that Lacy should go back to form this year, and is a potential superstar RB again.  He has lost a lot of weight, so that should help him.  He has also looked good in preseason play.  Eddie Lacy is the rare case of low risk/high reward player.  That being said don't go out taking him in the 1st round, wait until at least mid 2nd.

9.  Jamaal Charles

Once a top 3 RB, Jamaal Charles is now on the outside looking in.  I like Jamaal for one more good year, but he has a good chance of injury given that he hasn't been too healthy in the last few years.  Jamaal is a great pick in the late 2nd round, or early 3rd round.  He could bring in one more big year, and finish high, or he could finish around #9, not much risk in my point of view.

10. LeSean McCoy

LeSean McCoy is another one of these older backs like AP and Jamaal Charles.  He should have a great year under Rex Ryan, a very run heavy coach.  If the volume is there, then the yards and touchdowns should come.  LeSean McCoy has a lot of upside, and he should have a good year.
